Metafy Return & Refund Policy

At Metafy, we want you to experience the future of leisure wearables with absolute confidence. If you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase, we are here to help.

RETURN POLICY & WARRANTY

6-Month Warranty

All smart wearables (watches, smart glasses, and smart rings) purchased from Metafy are covered by a 6-month manufacturer warranty from the date of purchase. This warranty covers manufacturing defects, electronic failures, and products that are defective, unsafe, or fail to perform as intended.

What's Covered:

  • Manufacturing defects
  • Electronic component failures
  • Products that are defective or unsafe upon arrival

What's Not Covered:

  • Accidental damage or liquid damage (unless product is rated for water resistance)
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Misuse, abuse, or improper handling
  • Damage caused by unauthorized repairs or modifications
  • Batteries and accessories (covered for 3 months only)

Warranty Claims: To claim under warranty, you must provide proof of purchase (invoice). Defective products will be repaired, replaced, or refunded at our discretion.

7-Day Online Returns

Customers may return goods bought online within 7 days of delivery for a refund if they change their mind, provided the goods are unused and in original packaging.

Return Conditions:

  • Product must be unused, undamaged, and in original, sealed packaging
  • All accessories, manuals, and packaging must be included
  • Written notification of cancellation must be provided
  • Proof of purchase required

Non-Returnable Items:

  • Custom or personalized products (e.g., prescription smart glasses)
  • Products damaged due to negligence or misuse
  • Products with removed or altered components (e.g., watch links adjusted)
  • Gift cards
  • Items with missing serial numbers or tampered security seals
  • Products damaged by "jailbreaking" or installing unauthorized third-party firmware

Out-of-Box Failure - 7 Days

If your product is defective upon arrival or fails immediately after unboxing, you may return it within 7 days of delivery for an immediate exchange or full refund.

Conditions:

  • Product must be demonstrably defective or non-functional
  • Proof of purchase required
  • Original packaging preferred but not mandatory for defective items

How to Return or Claim Warranty

  1. Please notify us at info@metafy.co.za within 48 hours of discovery with your order number and proof of purchase
  2. Describe the issue or reason for return
  3. Wait for a Return Authorization (RA) number from our team
  4. Our technical team will assess the device to ensure the fault is a manufacturing defect and not caused by unauthorized software modifications, water damage (outside of IP-rated limits), or physical impact
  5. Refunds will be processed via the original payment method within 7-10 business days
  6. We will provide return instructions and shipping details
  7. Ship the product securely in its original packaging (if available)
  8. You may also opt for a Metafy store credit for faster processing

Collection: Metafy will arrange for a courier to collect defective items at our expense.
